Standard tuning. Tempo what you want, 80-90 is good for me. So let's say andante. This is almost in 6/4 (my real version is not exactly in 6/4, but people may be disappointed by it, so I just took away 2 or 3 notes here and there). There is just a little exception with a 3/4 measure (where you are supposed to sing the name of the one who has her birthday) and the last measure which is also in 3/4. It's a bit sad. I don't like birthdays. The left hand fingering is the one I use, it may not be the best. No right hand fingering given, because I don't like the one I use, so find it by yourself. The underlying chords are simple, as you see. There is a C, a G, an Em, a Dm, an Am and one or two others I don't know what :-) (very complex) English lyrics have been put below the lines. If you have more complicated versions, with weird chords (you know, some Asus4 and the like), post it ! I may post an oriental version of it, if I find time to finish it (very weirdy timing). If you record it, I would be happy to receive an .mp3 or an .ogg of your recording. I like it with a classical guitar, play it with what you want. You of course may repeat it as much as you want. Enjoy your life. Take care of yourself. | , | , | , | , | , | , | e--------------------------------------------------| B--------------------------1-------0---------------| G--0---0---2-------0-------------------------------| D--------------------------2---0-----------0-------| A----------3---0---2---3---------------2-------2---| E--3-------------------------------3---------------| 3 2 1 3 1 3 2 2 3 2 Hap py Birth | , | , | , | , | , | , | e--------------------------------------------------| B--------------------------3-------1---------------| G--0---0---2-------0-------0---2---2---0-----------| D------------------------------------------2-------| A----------0---2---3---2-----------------------3---| E--3-----------------------------------------------| 3 2 1 3 1 3 2 1 2 3 2 Hap py Birth | , | , | , | , | , | , | e----------3-------0-------------------------------| B--------------------------1-------0---------------| G--0---0-------0-----------0-------1-------2---0---| D----------0-----------2-------2-------0---2-------| A------2-----------3-------------------------------| E--3-----------------------------------------------| 2 1 3 3 2 1 2 1 3 Hap py Birth | , | , | , | e--------------------------| B--------------------------| G--------------------------| D--2-------2-------2-------| A--2-------2-------2-------| E--0-------0-------0-------| 2 2 2 1 1 1 [whoeveryouareeeeeeeee] | , | , | , | , | , | , | e--1---1---0---------------------------------------| B--------------3---1-------3-------1-------1-------| G------2---1-----------2-------4-----------0-------| D--0---------------2-------3-----------2-------2---| A----------------------------------3---------------| E--------------------------------------------------| 1 1 1 3 1 3 3 4 1 2 1 2 2 2 2 3 Hap py Birth | , | , | , || e--------------------------|| B--1-----------------------|| G--0-----------------------|| D--------------------------|| A--3-----------------------|| E--------------------------|| 1 3 From: acsst7@vms.cis.pitt.edu Subject: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! From: Liam Bettinson Subject: m/misc_traditional/happy_birthday.tab This is my version which sounds about right to me... When the notes ring just stick in a few vibratos, or if u have a whammy bar then jam some of that in there for the effect!! Try a bit of distorsion too, as it sounds rather good on the low e and B strings! ---------3\2--------h5-p3----10-7--------8-8-7-----3- -3-3-h5-3---3-3-h5-3-----3-3/----h8-8-7\5----8-10\- ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------- Thanks all, hope you get a laugh out of people for actually bothering to learn how to play Happy Birthday!!
