Playing along with the recording will help you with the tuning. Here is the opening and middle guitar solo for "Fade to Black" by Metallica. If you are in a three piece band, your guitarist can play the acoustic rhythm part, while you go crazy on the solo. To get your bass to more sound like the guitar in the recording, I suggest some distortion, especially in the highs. Make sure to keep the level down enough so that you don't get unwanted noise though. Guitar transcription originally transcribed by Carl Culpepper, then keyed in by A.J.Harsley then arranged my me.
