Another Green Day power chord song. Surprise. Now I figured this out with regular tuning, but if you play it tuned down, it sounds even better because you can better mute the strings after each chord, and if you want to do the harmonics that start after the line, "on my own.. here we go," then it is necessary to tune down. Just play these chords, but a fret higher. So if you're tuned down, simply play A#, then G#, then G, then F#, then F. But here are the chords: A: 577xxx G: 355xxx F#: 244xxx F: 133xxx E: 022xxx Each chord is played regularly, but only twice, then muted. If you have NO musical ability and cannot follow the harmony, look elsewhere, cuz I don't have the time or desire. I'm having trouble trying to sleep I'm counting sheep but running out As time ticks by And I still try No rest for crosstops in my mind On my own...here we go (drums begin) My eyes feel like they're going to bleed Dried up and bulging out my skull My mouth is dry My face is numb Fucked up and spun out in my room On my own...here we go (Same chord progression, but each double strum is followed by a regular strumming of the lightly muted power chord, producing some very cool harmonics) (each chord played twice, then muted, no harmonics) My mind is set on overdrive The clock is laughing in my face A crooked spine My sense dulled Past the point of delirium On my own...here we go (Begin harmonics again) My eyes feel like they're going to bleed Dried up and bulging out my skull My mouth is dry My face is numb Fucked up and spun out in my room On my own..here we go (Now chords are strummed but not muted. Same progression until end of song.) That's it.
